In a soft, dim candle light,
Her skin glowed like twinkling stars,
With sparkles in her eyes,
and firmness in her touch,
She loved him with all her heart.
Fearless, powerful and with all her passion,
She held herself close to him,
Emerged herself in the rhythm of his love,
and cherished him all night with all she got.
Sitting in the school gym,
with beating heart and smiling face,
All the young kids waited patiently,
A promise of bright future, hope and wisdom,
Today is the special day for them all,
Graduating from one class to another,
Building upon their dreams and moving forward,
These are the students of grade five,
Emerging out into new dimensions,
For the whole world them to see.
Life is like a long, stretched out road,
Bumpy at times yet smooth otherwise,
No one can predict what is around the corner,
Nor they can tell when the road ends.
The direction is one but journeys many,
Each has its own sail to carry.
Keep moving, progressing forward,
With eyes on the horizon and hope in heart,
The quest is adventurous yet peaceful at times,
Rest assure that destination will soon arrive.
Words – like Lego pieces for some.
Gathering them first,
scattering them on paper,
re-arranging them as per their heart desires,
building upon their imagination,
forming a beautiful form of existence,
known as poetry.
Walking on a green field,
with soft, velvety grass,
still wet from morning dew,
birds chirping in a distance,
and tress rustling with leaves flowing,
Breathing fresh, crisp air,
and absorbing warmth of the sun,
I can feel the nature playing it’s role,
for everyone seemed happy and calm,
contented to be here,
nurturing Mother Earth,
and moving on.
Rays of sun,
Yellow, bright and strong.
Uplifting, rejuvenating, and nurturing,
Giving us hope, life and reason,
Reminding us each day,
the existence of ultimate power,
Looking out for us all the time.
Sitting on my prayer mat
With my head bowed down.
Eyes closed and hands in a fold.
I connected with my creator
And pour myself out.
Attaining internal bliss with peaceful heart.
Knowing that I have been heard,
And now he will take care of the rest.
