I see tears in everyone’s eye
They are sad
Remembering how I was
And sharing their experiences

I see my friends far away in a distance
With their heads down
Talking to my family
Making sure they are alright

I see everyone looking at my pictures
Mentioning how beautiful I was
Counting my achievements
Praising me for who I was

I see my kids, heartbroken
It’s their biggest loss
But they know I loved them
Loved them with my soul and heart
They are prepared to face the world
For I taught them to ask Him for help whenever they need it

Everyone is here
present in the moment
And remembering me from their heart
Each one wished I would have lived a little longer
And I wished they would have told me a little earlier
